Petit Tabac Island | Tobago Cays |
|
Petit Tabac island in the Tobago Cays: part of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The cay is the most easterly of the group and just outside of the Horseshoe Reef that surrounds the other four islands.
A small anchoring area is located just north west for visiting yachts and boats must only drop anchor on the sand bottom, not within the reef seagrass beds.
The Tobago Cays have been widely used in movies and most recently Petit Tabac island was the backdrop for Johnny Depp being marooned in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl".
Below: The Caste of the movie.
The main location for all the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies (Port Royal) was Wallilabou Bay on the main island of St Vincent.
